I enabled the slider via appearance > customize > Theme option >Featured Section > select category to Slider, but I cannot find where or how to add images or where the slider settings are located.

First, you have to go to customize > homepage setting > choose the latest post https://prnt.sc/uqxle7 then appearance > customize > Theme option >Featured Section > select category to Slider, post must have a featured image
